✓ Real-world decision patterns

What people use decision AIs for

Decision AIs don't write essays: they answer yes/no, pick one option, or rate on a scale, with a probability for every answer. That makes them fast, cheap and easy to automate.

Good practice

Three rules for decision APIs in production

1

Ask for a decision, not an essay

Phrase each question as yes / no, pick one or a scale. You get a structured answer with a probability, so there's nothing to parse.

2

Put a threshold on the probability

Act automatically when the model is sure and send the borderline cases to a person. The Yes-if and Margin settings on every test show how.

3

Test with known answers first

Write a few examples where you know the right answer and check every model against them before you trust it in production.
